For a second there, Monday’s BCS championship was devoid of late-game heroics. That changed in a hurry in the fourth quarter. Shortly after Florida State’s Levonte Whitfield delivered a 100-yard kickoff return, Auburn responded with its own magical moment. Tigers running back and Heisman Trophy finalist Tre Mason broke free for a 37-yard rushing score with 1:19 remaining.
And what does daddy have to say?
Mason finished with 34 carries for 195 yards. Florida State ultimately won 34-31.
