Alabama kicker Cade Foster receives handwritten note from George W. Bush

Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama kicker Cade Foster missed three field goals in the Crimson Tide’s 34-28 loss to Auburn in the Iron Bowl on Nov. 30. Due to Foster’s struggles, ‘Bama coach Nick Saban sent freshman kicker Adam Griffith out to attempt a 57-yard field goal with one second left to play — the missed field goal that Auburn’s Chris Davis eventually returned 109 yards for the improbable game-winning touchdown.

Many fans attacked Foster on Twitter for his play against the Tigers. However, the senior received support from one unlikely source: Former U.S. President George W. Bush.

According to a photo posted by Foster on his Instagram account on Wednesday, Bush sent the kicker a note of encouragement after the loss. The text read:

“Dear Cade (#43), Life has its setbacks. I know! However you will be a stronger human with time. I wish you all the best. Sincerely — another 43 George Bush”

I come the sports sights to get the hell away from political BS and I find it here. Like or hate Bush, it was a nice thing to do for a young man feeling that he alone lost a big game. Good for you Mr. Bush! Now lets get back to play offs and football,.... Thank you.

Obama would tax Foster if possible.  Probably screwed the "common man" to get to where he is today.

At the W haters somehow forget (because they're stupid) that 90% of Americans, the leaders of several dozen countries and EVERY SINGLE Donkeycrat in the house and senate supported him when we went to Iraq and Afghanistan.

It's east to be a media propaganda fed armchair POTUS after the fact.

And that one Donkey? He became president by criticizing W and increased the troop deployment. Stupid Donkeys.

Bush wrote this note from Jail, right?  Because that is the only place this guy should be.

@DanLeeper Bush was/is a scumbag you leper. 1 note doesn't make up for the countless gallons of blood of innocents he has spilled.

@Thomas5

You wrote this note from your iPad, drinking Starbucks, via AT&T 4G service and protesting big business, republicans, and a president who spent less money in 8 years than the current one spent in his  first 4.
