Video: Alabama coach Nick Saban to be profiled on CBS’ 60 Minutes

Alabama Crimson Tide, Nick Saban, Roll Tide

The Alabama football team is having such an impact that it’s moved into the news. And not just local news, either. This Sunday, CBS’ 60 Minutes will profile Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban in a segment called “The Perfectionist.”

The two-plus minute teaser on CBS’ website (above) includes an anecdote about a time Saban tossed his straw hat Oddjob-style in frustration. That mental image alone makes me think this is a feature worth watching. It should be on around 7:30 p.m. ET, so crank up your DVRs or watch it the good old-fashioned way. It’s not Benghazi or the Metropolitan Opera on 60 Minutes, it’s Saban. Roll Eye.

Looking for our son on the show. 60 Minutes video cameras were EVERYWHERE during Saban Football Camp in June. Our boy even got "Sabaned" just like Vinnie Sunseri talks about on the preview. Wonderful football experience for our WR from the best Coaching Staff in America.

Hey rskins09, the media used to say and write the same thing about Vince Lombardi in the 60s, that he was a perfectionist, too tough on his players, a teeth-baring, screaming maniac. His players loved him.

Saturday am ...... I'm sure they're going to be a ton of negative comments after the 60 Min. episode airs Sunday about  Saban ...Let me guess ::  He's a jerk,  he's too strict , too controlling , he got a DWI  35 years ago, puts too pressure on his players & assistant coaches .. So and so is a better coach but Saban gets better material ...Saban is a great coach - one of the best ever ..But I can see all these negative, cheap shots coming ..When your successful  your going to be criticised  regardless ..Looking forward to seeing  this  60 min episode  tomorrow evening ...
