Former Nebraska quarterback Tommie Frazier: Do I need to say any more?

Former Nebraska quarterback Tommie Frazier isn’t one to mince words. He’s been a vocal critic of sixth-year Cornhuskers coach Bo Pelini, and just before the conclusion of No. 25 Nebraska’s 34-23 loss to Minnesota on Saturday, Frazier sent out a tongue-in-cheek tweet seemingly indicative of his feelings toward Pelini.

This isn’t the first time Frazier has weighed in on the state of Nebraska football. After the Huskers’ 41-21 home loss to UCLA on Sept. 21, in which they relinquished a 21-3 first-half lead, Frazier sent out a lengthy tweet calling for mass changes to the Nebraska coaching staff. When asked about Frazier’s criticism that week, Pelini told reporters, “If he feels like that, we don’t need him.”

Tommy, you don't have to say anything anymore. Just keep your fat, 3-17 coaching record mouth shut and let the players play and the coaches coach. GBR!

Hey Nebraska fans, it sucks to lose.  No one wants to hear about it anymore.  The old Nebraska rhetoric is  tired.."We used to score 70 every weekend",  "Fire Bo", "Callahan ruined the team", on and on and on.  Nope, its just your time.  And for fun, What do the numbers 76,80,129,180,480 and 680 have in common? A future if you're headed outbound.

Hopefully, Frazier will bleed enough to die.

BO MUST GO!! The defense is so soft, leaky and porous even a high school team can walk through...This not the cornhuskers that it was known for....Enough is enough....They could be humiliated when opponents run over 70+ points against them....it could and will happen....BO MUST GO

Suck it Pelini.  We're a frickin' embarrassment.

I don't know about national title race, but they should be a perennial Big 10 contender and I don't think they are. Nebraska used to recruit nationally (especially from the central mid-continent area), and they used to have top-notch facilities, the best weight room in the country.  Now most schools have good facilities.  Moving to the Big 10 did not help Nebraska for recruiting.  I don't see them being consistently elite again.

It seems to me that Nebraska is underachieving. This is a program that definitely should be mentioned in the national title race but isn't. They should be the second or third best team in the big10. They are like Georgia except they don't play against Bama, and Florida, and LSU and the rest of the SEC year-in and year-out. Pelini wont make it to next year.

@SadieKoehler Saddle, you know that he's not reading this so you don't need to address your comments to him, right?

@bcordes23 Football fans continue to amuse.  Throwing a tantrum and being embarrassed over a football team full of teenagers and kids barely out of their teens?    That itself is something to be embarrassed over.

@Roy1 Nebraska is the winningest team in the past 50 years....that's no fluke.  Even down as they are now, they still win more than TEXAS.

@Roy1 "I don't see them being consistently elite again."

I disagree, with the tradition and fan support I cannot see how anyone can make such a blanket assertion. Nebraska will never be consistently elite again? Really? So, if down the line they get a Saban-like coach, you think they would not be able to be consistently elite? Did you say the same thing during the decade of down years at Alabama?

Yes, Nebraska football is not up to the standards it should be, but moving to the Big 10 is not the reason why. Callahan royally screwed this program, and Pelini simply was not the coach we needed to fully rebuild it.

@lionoah I'm sorry but Nebraska hasn't been a "national title" team for over 10 years. They aren't coming any where close. The game has changed, recruiting has changed. They will always be a mid-tier team until otherwise. Just the way it is right now.

@lionoah We exposed Nebraska in the first half of the 2002 Rose Bowl.  They never have achieved that level again, and most likely they never will.  Which s a pity, as they were our favorite NC game victim.

@AaronThigpen @bcordes23 When you spend your whole life watching Nebraska football religiously, buying tickets and team merchandise, and rooting for the players, it does not matter if you are playing. Yes, he means "we." We the Nebraska football fans who make this game possible and ultimately pay for Pelini's salary.

@Michael50 @Roy1   "....So, if down the line they get a Saban-like coach, you think they would not be able to be consistently elite? Did you say the same thing during the decade of down years at Alabama?"

If the 'Huskers want Saban, they'll have to wait until AFTER he fails for a second time in the pros @ Dallas. Jerra is drooling at the chance to break the bank and hire Saban especially if 'Bama wins the nation title again. That would be just the PR goldmine that JJ lives for. Of course, the fact that Jerra will drive Saban out of town eventually like he did Jimmie Johnson and Bill Parcells has never crossed his mind. Hell, that's three or four years down the line! In the meantime, $$$

@MarkCleary @lionoah Wait, wait, wait. This is coming from a Miami Hurricanes fan? Please, what has your team done in the past decade? Let's see 9-3, 9-3, 7-6, 5-7, 7-6, 9-4, 7-5, 6-6, 7-5. Yea... Let me counter your statement that Nebraska will "most likely" never reach an elite level again by saying that it is even LESS likely Miami will. Nebraska has a larger fan base, stronger tradition, a longer sellout streak, less regional competition, and more program funding. Hrmm, yea, as I said in a post above, I can definitely see how people can make blanket assertions that Nebraska will never again be elite... oh wait, that makes no sense.

But, you all sure do like to try and kick teams when they are down.

@MarkCleary @lionoah

We were already exposed that year by Colorado.  The fact is we haven't had a great team since 1999 so go ahead and pat yourself on the back for that 2002 one.  We were the 3rd best team in our conference that year.  We shouldn't have even been in that game.
