USC’s Ed Orgeron gets Pete Carroll’s approval after the Trojans’ win over Arizona
There’s nothing like a shout-out from Pete Carroll to give a first-time coach the juice he needs after a big win. That’s exactly what happened to USC interim head coach Ed Orgeron after his Trojans topped Arizona 38-31 on Thursday night.
The win came in USC’s first outing since Lane Kiffin’s firing on Sept. 29. The Trojans were particularly dominant early — at one point they led 28-3 — so the Coach O tweets were in full force on social media last night.
Among the highlights:
I want to see Ed Orgeron's food pyramid.—

Orgeron is going to wrestle an alligator in the locker room. Not for any motivational reason, but just because.—

In these turbulent times, Ed Orgeron getting the USC gig fulltime would be the equivalent of a single flower growing from cracked pavement.—
