SMU QB Garrett Gilbert tosses crazy two-point conversion

Rutgers Scarlet Knights, SMU Mustangs

SMU quarterback Garrett Gilbert engineered some magic for the Mustangs late in the fourth quarter on Saturday. After finding wide receiver Jeremy Johnson for a 13-yard touchdown strike — Gilbert’s fifth of the day — the passer hit Johnson again with a wild, scrambling two-point conversion to tie things up, 35-35, against Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights emerged in three overtimes, however, by a score of 55-52. (H/T @jimmytraina)
