LeBron James will be on sidelines for Ohio State’s game against Wisconsin

Big Ten, Hi Haters, Ohio State

LeBron James already has his own locker at Ohio State for some reason, despite the fact that he’s never played for the Buckeyes, he’s originally from Akron and he’s currently employed in Miami. Now, he’ll be on the sidelines in Columbus for the No. 4 Buckeyes matchup with No. 23 Wisconsin on Saturday night.

From the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

And with roughly 50 recruits expected to make visits this week, James’ – who played seven years with the Cleveland Cavaliers before signing with the Heat – presence couldn’t have come at a better time for Ohio State.

There is absolutely no reason why Ohio State wouldn’t do this. If the reigning NBA MVP wants to associate himself with the program, that’s nothing short of recruiting gold.

Having LeBron on the sidelines and talking to players (and possibly recruits) should give the Buckeyes a nice bump, and had the NBA’s early-entrance rules been different when LeBron was coming out of high school, there’s a good possibility he could have spent a season at Ohio State. A large number of Ohio residents tend to think Ohio State is the state’s premier team — even above any professional sports teams –and  it’s probably smart to get LeBron on board before he decides he is a Texas, Miami or Alabama fan next season.

Kudos to the school for putting together a good package for national TV: an NBA All-Star and special uniforms will add to an already intriguing game between two of the Big Ten’s best teams.

This dude is pure bandwagon.  He is a Yankees and Cowboys fan.  Look up the pics of him court side at a Kentucky game wearing all blue back when John Wall was there.

People close to LeBron are saying that when he is able to opt out of his contract, he will either stay with the Heat or go back to Cleveland.  The Heat being choice 1A and the Cavs being 1B.  So all of the people hating LeBron because he left better get on board.  If he comes to Cleveland he will bring other stars with him.

Go home to Florida, Lebron. We don't need you. #Quitness.

This is for recruiting more than anything else. For Saturday's game, Ohio State will have the highest number of recruits than any other home game in 2013. Those recruits are present (inside the locker room) for pregame.

If LeBron says, "Take your talents to High Street," then I'll give him credit.

@ChrisBurke_SI "I would have totally gone to college, but college really doesn't help you go pro. Oh wait, go Buckeyes!"

Yeah because education comes before Ohio state football.... Image the reaction of the head coach if his star players could not make practice because they were studying... lol  So stop spewing your crap... Post secondary are for those whom have not found a profession and or need to be trained for a professional why be so jealousy, Lebron is one of few that excelled at his profession before leaving high school. Is he suppose to go to college so losers like yourself feel better about your lives . No different than advanced kids sitting through a year of material that are levels below them, instead we promote them a level or two up. That is how life works.

@mk20051 He couldn't get stars to go to Cleveland when he was there and leading the Cavs to the finals. He won't get stars to go to Cleveland if he went back (and he has 0% chance of going back).
