Ohio State coach Urban Meyer is 90 percent confident quarterback Braxton Miller will play in this weekend’s Big Ten opener against Wisconsin, and that confidence should reach 100 percent by Saturday, the coach said at his weekly press conference. (H/T Bill Rabinowitz of the Columbus Dispatch)

Miller missed two straight games after injuring his MCL against San Diego State in Week 2, when he left after only one quarter of play. Senior Kenny Guiton stepped in to finish the game against San Diego State and start against Cal and Florida A&M, completing 64-of-94 passes for 643 yards, 12 touchdowns and two interceptions. Against the Rattlers, Guiton set an Ohio State single-game record with six touchdown passes, all thrown in the first half.

Last week Meyer said he still expects to use Guiton in certain situations once Miller returns to the starting role.

Miller threw for 15 touchdowns and rushed for another 13 in leading Ohio State to an undefeated season as a sophomore in 2012.

Looking for Wisconsin to upset OSU, which hasn't played anyone this year and doesn't even deserve to be in the top 5.

@rjech that's hilarious buddy. First time in my life I've been compared to an Ohio State QB!!!

@jacksonatl the fact that a team has not been tested is not evidence in the slightest that they can't beat a good team.  OSU beats Wisconsin by 14 or more and then I suppose you'll let them squeak back into your to 5.

@jacksonatl They may be number 1 by the end of the season. Because of Guiton's play, I don't see how opponents can prepare.

Must be a homer. Tennessee Tech and UMass. Now there is two power houses!!!! I would say Arizona St is equal to Cal. You saw what happened at Cal. With a back up Quarterback no less.
