San Jose State punter Harrison Waid ejected for fighting vs. Minnesota

Minnesota Golden Gophers, San Jose State Spartans

. on Twitpic

San Jose State punter Harrison Waid didn’t take too kindly to a block from Minnesota’s Derek Wells on Saturday afternoon, and as a result, he was ejected from the game for scuffling. At least the punter’s showing some spunk.

The headline "SJ State punter ejected for fighting with Gophers" made me think PETA had to be involved somehow.  Turned out to be more mundane.

LOL...The punter took a good shot, but he only was pushing the guy.  If you are going to get ejected, at least do something to get ejected for.  That was weak on the punter's part.

@Mike26 @slmandel @si_ncaafb What do you mean "what late hit"? The player with the ball was already starting to get up, CLEARLY indicating the whistle had blown and the hit was late. Glad you think twitter sucks, thanks for the unsolicited commentary.

@rckstrscott @Mike26 @slmandel @si_ncaafb And since you're aware that the play was over, maybe you'd like to explain why the punter is sprinting directly at the down man holding the ball?  The player throwing the block was protecting his teammate and completely justified, which is why he wasn't penalized.
