Nebraska turned a 21-3 lead over UCLA on Saturday into a 41-21 loss thanks in part to a poor showing on defense. This week one of the Huskers’ former quarterbacks, Tommie Frazier, let loose on Twitter regarding his team’s recent struggles.

On Sunday Frazier posted a lengthy tweet on Twitlonger calling for mass changes to the Nebraska coaching staff.

A portion of the post:

After letting it sink in for about 4 hours I still struggling. It’s time to get rid of the defensive play caller, the Dc, lb dl and db coaches. I hate saying this but this crap is getting old. How in the hell do you not make adjustments or put your players in the position to compete? If this is what is going to happen for the remainder of the season, count me out.

Pelini has won at least nine games in each full season as Nebraska’s head coach, but he’s often been criticized for never getting the Huskers over the hump to a conference championship or serious national title contention. The coach has yet to win more than 10 games in five seasons in Lincoln.

When asked about Frazier’s comments on Monday, Pelini was blunt.

Frazier backed up his comments with a later post Monday.

Frazier is right. Pelini is a joke. Winning 9 games when you play nub schools the early part of the season isn't a great accomplishment.

First things first.  Take those black jerseys out and burn them.

It's hard not to either look at the players not putting in the effort or the coaches aren't putting the kids in position to win. The Wyoming, close win, wasn't an aboration that's just how poor the defense is playing, for the record Wyoming is not a top 75 team. Pelini needs to grow up or shut up, his F and MF colored tirades are getting very old. He's just not good enough to make up for being a Saban style jerk. That said Texas, and Michigan seem to have the same problem, had Terry Bowden and staff not made some horrible calls with time running down and deep in the Red Zone Akron would have won Saturday. You don't run the ball and waste so much time. Had they stuck with the pass that put them in position to win it, they had 1 or 2 plays left.

Funny thing happened in Nebraska a few years back.  We had this coach named Callahan who was asked about Tom Osborne and getting his advice... Mr Callahan laughed as he said that Dr Tom could go F himself.  Imagine the look on his face when Dr Tom was named AD the next year...yeah, it was priceless as he packed up his office stuff.   With that said, Bo better be careful about what he says about past players and fans..... oooopppsss!!!!   Tooo late.

Good but not great. And that's just not good enough for Nebraska, one of the most storied schools in NCAAF history.

While Nebraska isn't what they once were, Pelini seems to be underachieving . He should be able to break out at least once a la Mack Brown. Such a storied program with plenty of cache and deep-pocketed boosters should be in contention occasionally at least. They are just mediocre amongst the big boys.

Funny thing here is that the whole Fan base, as a majority, believes the same thing that Tommy does.  If Pelini can not do what needs to be done then Eichhorst needs to fire him as well.

@lionoah Well, Mack Brown will be available soon if you'd like to hire him.
