Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd just wants to help out Wake Forest’s offense
Browse Instagram sometimes, and you might find some unexpected coaching advice:
That is Wake Forest wide receiver Michael Campanaro’s feed, with an unexpected guest as the first commenter: Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd. Wake Forest looked dreadful running the option against Boston College last Friday, averaging fewer than two yards per carry with two costly fumbles in a 24-10 loss, and Boyd decided to chime in.
Update: Boyd has since deleted those comments.
Boyd isn’t wrong; Wake shouldn’t run the option at all. He’s not the only ACC opponent who shares that sentiment:

The fact that the Deacs’ offensive playbook is “written in pencil,” as the ESPN2 broadcast crew indicated during last week’s game, is not exactly an encouraging sign midway through September. But the real story here is Boyd’s decision to offer his opinion on Instagram. Hopefully players all over the country will offer game-planning takes on various social media platforms. I’d love to see Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota breaking down film in the YouTube comments.
