Vanderbilt’s James Franklin offers to call fan’s boss to get him off work
By Zac Ellis
Vanderbilt coach James Franklin is no stranger to energizing a fan base. In almost three seasons in Nashville the coach has rejuvenated an SEC bottom-feeder into a nine-win program, and the fans have largely responded.
Now that he’s improved the on-field product, Franklin is doing his part to make sure those fans can actually see the Commodores play.
Vandy fan JD tweeted on Tuesday that he won’t be able to attend the Commodores’ opener against Ole Miss because he’ll be at work.
What would you do if your boss told you that you had to work the night of the Vanderbilt opener against Ole Miss? Discuss…—

Franklin responded by offering some help.
Just imagine how JD’s boss will react when he hears Franklin on the other line. And if the boss thinks it’s a prank, JD can shoot over the tweets as proof.
